When Sami sent me the inspiration for this shoot & I saw the rooms with wallpaper slowly fading but still holding strong, my thoughts went to the women of this town. They traveled miles & miles to live in this isolated, wild, rough, place yet they still prioritized fine details & beauty.

I looked up the year the town was at its peak, then searched female poets during that time. Far away on the East Coast, Emily Dickinson was sharing her experience of being a woman. I got so excited because she has her own postage stamp & with a beautiful poem of hers, along with handmade Italian paper, letterpress, & wax seals, this paper vision of soft textured solid beauty came to be.

I am forever in awe of the women that run this world of weddings & connection & business. That day there were 15+ women, driving miles to get there, moving furniture, carrying buckets & buckets & buckets of flowers, hair & make-up, table settings, photography, providing for everyone, uplifting & supporting.

This post is in celebration of these women & the women who came before.

La Vita Bella //

A beautiful Italian rehearsal dinner tucked in the intimate outdoor setting at @abruzzoitaliankitchen kitchen last summer. Each name tile was hand calligraphied by a local artist and then each tile that has a name on it, the supplier messed up the order, and I had to hand paint every corner detail. Painting on tile is not an easy feat! But so happy with how the whole wall turned out.

\\___________ I'm still here! 👋🏼 This year has been one of creating, resting, building. I find myself flowing in between this desire to just keep my head down to keep creating and moving forward, but then also this desire to show what I've made and celebrate it.

Here is some proof captured by the lovely Sami with @honeyseedphotoandfilm of me making that magic in person. I felt so at home in this beautiful old abandoned building with this natural light and endless texture. This shoot was such an incredible creative opportunity, and I'm so grateful to be a part of it and was in awe of all of the other talented humans involved.

There is a little bit of a lull coming up in my season and I hope to find the time to gather things so I can show you all of the beautiful exciting paper goods I've been able to make this year.

We’re entering that time of year when all the little details come to life—the ones that guide your guests, set the tone, and bring your wedding vision into the present moment.

Menus, escort cards, signs—they might just be paper, but they do so much. They tell more of your story, show off your style, and help everyone know where to be without stress.

This sign was a fun project—from sketching it out, building it from scratch and adding that little lantern touch that tied into the couple’s theme perfectly. It’s those small details that really bring the whole vibe together.

Bear grass is an iconic symbol of Montana, and when we have a super bloom year, it is breathtaking. This stunning illustration by @mellow_marigold_art comes to life through blind letterpress and delicate die-cut details, capturing the essence of Erin and Andrew’s story. Happy New Year to all! This post is a step away from my normal paper content, I am excited to share it with you! I have always loved setting up table scapes, creating experiences for the people I love & over the last year have really been wanting to push myself with my love for design and creativity. Art for art sake has been showing up in my more world, & I greet it with open arms. I have also recently been inspired by Bethany with @fieldfiveflowers and the way she pushes the edges of art & I definitely brought that energy into this scene.

This Christmas, I played with an idea that, I think, has always been with me. My mom is German & I was born in Germany & have always loved the old way where Saint Nick, the Santa Claus of Germany & other northern European countries, would leave fruit & nuts in your shoes as a gift for the holidays. Citrus is a winter fruit which I find beautiful because it is so bright in both color and taste. I had a friend once gift me a pineapple for Christmas because really, fruit is a marvel & if you just sit & enjoy a pineapple or any piece of fruit it can be such an enjoyable experience.

I wanted the table to represent this without any other traditional Christmas elements. The winter white against the orange is striking & the nuts & beige napkins bring in a little bit of warmth. There's also a practical element to this, very German, I wanted to use mostly what we already had. I did purchase some items, but using what we already had, led to the mixing of metals, which is not something I normally do, but I think it served well in this case.

Lastly, one of my favorite movies is Little Women and there's a scene during Christmas time where Amy, the youngest sister, grabs the orange from the piece of bread because she doesn't wanna lose it when they decide to take the food to a poor family. She then puts it back because she realizes that Christmas is a time for giving and showing love to others.

I could probably go on because I have always loved diving into the meaning of things, but these ideas are the ones that float to the top. Nothing new for L & P except leaning more into creativity. Enjoy!

Sophie & Morgan highlighted the beauty and elegance of our model Chloe. And can we talk about that cake. Perfection. With a great team, we have this most magical window into winter. Enjoy!

Hi! It’s your friendly neighborhood printer, Elisheba, sometimes known as Sheba or Lish. Coming into my 7th year of printing, and as I write that I have a big smile on my face because, what an accomplishment! I never considered myself someone who could stick with things for long and here we are.

Designing is in every fiber of me: wedding stationery, tablescapes, Christmas trees. I love designing areas in my home, arranging flowers, concocting the perfect cocktail. Styling that unique outfit and dissecting what makes a restaurant a pleasure to be in. Framing a photo through my film camera lens, knowing I may not get it developed for months and what a lovely surprise it will be.

Elsie de Wolfe said, “I am going to make everything around me beautiful—that will be my life.” Am I her, reborn? Quite possibly.

Overthinking and anxiety are my constant companions, but also along with a highly optimistic nature and a quite grounded presence, I fully enjoy this life. Forever grateful for my great therapist, the most loving friends and family and am always working on good habits. Spending as much time in or near water is one of my favorite things to do and I am a voracious reader. I have mastered the Matcha latte. Still learning to love winter even after living in Montana for 15 years. And I think I could have had a career doing something in film, in another life.

Meeting and getting to know the couples I work with is a pleasure I didn’t know I would have in my life. Getting to be a part of so many love stories is something I don’t take for granted. I’m looking forward to this next season and all that we will create together. So glad you are here!

This year, I experimented with offering an on-site service to style flat lays at weddings and Rosie with @whiterosefilms captured me perfectly.

Working with Megan & Wes was a dream, I got to add an element into the these invitations I’ve always wanted to. Will show it in detail soon, but you get a little glimpse of the hand sewn seam on the brown envelope. Special!

I have gotten so bad at posting. Remember when I used to make super fun reels?? Where did that girl go?

This feels really good to share, first time gold edging handmade paper. It’s a process that requires patience and trust that when you brush the excess gold off, the result will be what you want. Did we nail it??

Then there is string with a wax seal and dried florals literally tying it all together. Of course, each piece is letterpress printed.

Peek the sweetest illustration of Nalini & Adam and their dog Sophie. @mellow_marigold_art is so good at what she does.

All in all, elegant, romantic magic. Can’t wait to see what @sg.weddings.and.events creates for this special day and sweet couple.

A new phase of my life is beginning. There is opportunity for me to stretch, to reach, to expand more than before. It feels and has been a little scary! Being called to more has rich rewards but can also ask you to stand in ways you were hoping you mayybeeee didn’t have to.

The me in this photo, she knew it was coming. The promise of a smile, a release. I’ve always done things differently than most, a different pace, a different approach. My work and methods have been working themselves out, wriggling through the kinks, learning how to meld my ways with the rest of the world’s.

I’ve been letting myself unfold into this new space and I can feel my mind coming back to roots of creativity. Even writing this, can feel how shut in I have felt the last couple of years, guarded, silent. These bits will always be with me but I am ready to start sharing again. To engage & create together. Slowly but with a newfound sense of fortitude & joy.

This design came from an elopement announcement for the sweetest couple that I also had the privilege of being their officiant. Now everyone has the opportunity to choose this classic, with a touch of rustic, suite.

Our semi-custom collection is a great option for those who have a smaller budget for paper goods but would still like high quality invitations. We use double ply paper for all of our beginning packages, allowing for a strong tactile experience.

Yesterday was our first Valentine’s Day together. It was unassuming, spent the morning apart then went cross country skiing. Found ourselves at a a log cabin bar in the woods, spent hours talking and eating fried green beans. Came home & made soup together then at the very last hour of the day he gave me the most beautiful box of chocolates from a prized candy shop.

I didn’t know what to expect, every persons view on this day is so different and I’ve learned to not have high expectations. Obviously I’m a romantic and that used to mean big gestures and wild declarations. Now it means undivided attention, laughter and surprising gifts. Yesterday couldn’t have been more perfect. ❤️

Transparency Talk // This is really important to me, first as a human, then as a designer & business owner. It’s important to know what you are paying for and it feels good to understand costs when it’s such an intimate investment.

From website to CRM, software to subscriptions, these are the silent champions of my business. Every cost is a calculated step in delivering high quality products and an investment in serving you better. When reviewing a quote for wedding invitations it can be tempting to do this kind of math, “$2,800 for 120 sets, that equals $23 a set” and then you might only view the physical product in front of you. If only it were that simple! The costs above are only one aspect of what goes into that number. There is also design time, product research, design calls, process planning and more. (Maybe another reel!) There is the gathering of products, the unforeseen delays, the time we spend elevating our skills in this craft, and most importantly, doing everything I can to bring you the best product possible. I believe that knowing all of this can help with understanding why I charge what I do.

Delving into a perfect mix of modern digital style and the timeless charm of letterpress magic, this wedding invitation offered the perfect blend of both worlds.

Having the border and light floral background element be digitally printed, really allows for the letterpress text to stand out. It’s also a great way to use more colors in a budget friendly way!

Letterpress printing is per color so each time you want a new color, you must set up the press in new color & image. It’s pretty cool but requires much more work. Sometimes many colors in letterpress is what a design calls for and sometimes we can seamlessly blend the two methods.
